[SMM Computing Power News] 10,000 yuan per month, tax included, for renting 11 bare-metal A100 40G servers in east China

SMM learned that a data center in east China released 11 A100 40G bare metal servers at a monthly rent of 10,000 yuan per unit (tax inclusive). Compared with SMM's recent samples, the 40G bare metal in the same region was previously quoted at 8,800 yuan per unit (tax exclusive), and after restoring the 13% VAT, the tax-inclusive basis of the two is basically flat; the 40G cloud machine is 7,000 yuan per unit. SMM believes that the tax-inclusive price of A100 40G bare metal is stable at around 10,000 yuan, with a price spread of about 40% compared with the cloud machine form, and specifications and tax burden basis remain the main variables in pricing this model.

SMM learned that a 4090 cluster in east China released over 40 servers at a monthly rent of 7,000 yuan per unit, with resources released on a fixed basis at the beginning of each month, forming a cyclical supply. Each unit features 8×RTX 4090 24G, dual Intel 8352V, and 512GB DDR4. Compared with SMM's recent samples, the standard 24G monthly rent had previously held steady in the 7,100–7,300 yuan range, and this deal came in slightly below that transparent band. SMM believes that 4090 supply has developed a predictable monthly release pace, indicating that the turnover of existing machine inventory is becoming normalized, with quotes touching the lower edge of the price band.
