LME Aluminum Inventory Stays Flat at 246,700 mt, Down 6.68% Over the Month

[SMM Aluminum Flash] On September 1, SHFE aluminum futures warrants recorded 238,373 mt, down 3,321 mt from the previous trading day. Over the past week, SHFE aluminum futures warrants decreased by 24,141 mt, a decline of 9.20%. Over the past month, SHFE aluminum futures warrants decreased by 81,851 mt, a decline of 25.56%.

According to SMM statistics, as of August 28, days of inventories at China aluminum rod plants stood at 8.1 days, down 0.46 days WoW from 8.56 days on August 21. The inventory ratio fell from 110.10% to 105.14%, down 4.96 percentage points, with absolute inventory levels still in the higher range for the year. Over the same period, the combined operating rate at leading aluminum rod enterprises came in at 72.96%, flat WoW, stabilizing after four consecutive weeks of decline.
