SK On Signs New ESS Battery Cell Supply Contract in U.S.

SK On announced on August 31 that it signed an ESS battery cell supply contract with U.S. ESS company NeoVolta Power on August 27.

Under the contract, SK On will supply a total of 9 GWh of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) pouch battery cells to NeoVolta Power over five years, from next year through 2031.

The cells will be produced at SK On’s plant in Georgia, U.S. The contract value is estimated by industry sources at around KRW 1.5 trillion.
