As of this Friday, in China, mainstream brands were quoted at discounts of around 30-70 yuan/mt against the 2609 contract, high-priced brands were quoted at premiums of around 50 yuan/mt against the 2609 contract, and Tianjin was quoted at discounts of around 60 yuan/mt against Shanghai. This week, zinc prices rose to a multi-month high, and downstream buyers mostly stayed on the sidelines, with fewer inquiries and pricing. Large producers waited for shipments under long-term contract, while some end-users with rigid demand mainly priced later. At month-end, traders were not active in selling, overall market trading was not active, and premiums were adjusted slightly lower.
