[SMM Computing Power Daily] Pro6000 Bare Metal Server for Rent, Monthly Rent 50,000 yuan

Published: Aug 27, 2026 18:22
August 27: Pro6000 fully leased units entered the market; five bare metal machines in East China were quoted at 50,000 yuan per unit per month, and a channel for a large internet enterprise reported 55,000 yuan; the rental price band for 4090 was highly convergent, with 40 units in South China contracted at 7,300 yuan for a fixed half-year term, and the transparent monthly rental range for the standard version was 7,100–7,300 yuan; low-priced resources below 7,000 yuan carried ownership or regulatory risks; the 910B4 inference complete machine was quoted at 763,000 yuan per unit, which, together with the monthly rental of 16,000 yuan for bare metal in Southwest China, formed dual dimensions of leasing and sales.

SMM, August 27:

Pro6000: East China Bare-Metal Leasing at 50,000 Yuan/Month; Channel Quoted Price at 55,000 Yuan

SMM learned that a resource provider in east China released approximately five Pro6000 full servers for lease, with bare-metal quoted at 50,000 yuan per unit per month, under a minimum one-year lease term. The servers are located in a partner colocation facility and cannot be relocated. The resource provider also disclosed that a major internet enterprise’s channel quoted Pro6000 at 55,000 yuan per unit per month, which is 10% higher than its own quote. SMM believes that the Pro6000 bare-metal price of 50,000 yuan per unit per month is close to the previous lease rate for H20 full servers; whether the quote includes value-added services requires confirmation upon inquiry. Given that the spot unit price of the Pro6000D has dropped to 73,700 yuan per piece (tax included) amid a supply-demand imbalance, the Pro6000 full-server leasing at 50,000 yuan per month adds a new reference point for the series' pricing.

4090: 40 Units Signed for Six-Month Closed Contract in South China at 7,300 Yuan; Price Band Converges to 7,100–7,300 Yuan

SMM learned that a contract for leasing 40 RTX 4090 eight-card servers was signed in south China, with a closed contract and a six-month lease term at a monthly rate of 7,300 yuan per unit, with delivery to be completed within this week. Compared to direct-supply 4090 in east China (7,100 yuan/month, 6–12 months) and short-term leases in central China (7,200 yuan/month), the monthly rent for standard edition 24G models stabilized in the range of 7,100–7,300 yuan. Meanwhile, 4090 lease transaction prices have become quite transparent; for resources priced below 7,000 yuan per month, caution is needed regarding risks such as unclear title and goods under regulatory supervision. A channel vendor previously pushed related stock, but testing failed, resulting in low market appetite. Additionally, a direct lease from an east China colocation provider was reported at 7,500 yuan per unit per month, while a major internet enterprise's channel quoted the same batch at 8,500 yuan per month (marked up from 7,200 yuan), indicating a common channel markup practice.

910B4/Domestic Computing Power: Full-Server Inference Quote at 763,000 Yuan; Rent-Sale Dual Pricing Formed

SMM learned that a domestic brand AI inference server was offered for sale, with the full server quoted at approximately 763,000 yuan per unit, equipped with eight Ascend 910B4 processors and HCCS interconnect, targeting inference scenarios. Combined with the earlier bare-metal monthly lease quote for the 910B4 in southwest China of 16,000 yuan per unit (tax included), a rent-sale dual pricing model has formed for the 910B4: "monthly rent of 16,000 / full server at 760,000". SMM believes that the simultaneous market entry of domestic inference computing power hardware sales and lease pricing will accelerate the 910B4 price indexing process.

SMM Analysis: Today's market highlights were the entry of Pro6000 full-server leasing and the price transparency of the 4090. The Pro6000 bare-metal lease was released at 50,000 yuan per month, with major internet enterprise channels quoting 55,000 yuan per month, a level close to the previous H20 full-server lease rate. Whether it includes value-added services requires further confirmation. The Pro6000 series has now extended from previous spot trading (D-version low-volume release at 73,700 yuan/piece) to full-server lease pricing, with the series' pricing system gradually being established. 4090 lease transaction pricing has become transparent, with standard-edition monthly rents converging to the 7,100–7,300 yuan range. Closed six-month price lock deals emerged, while resources priced below 7,000 yuan mostly pointed to title or regulatory flaws. Channel markups (from 7,200 yuan to 8,500 yuan) coexist with direct colocation leases (7,500 yuan), and lessees should verify title and equipment condition. The 910B4 saw the formation of a rent-sale dual pricing model of "monthly rent 16,000 / full server 760,000", accelerating the price indexing process for domestic inference computing power. Overall, consumer-grade and professional card lease pricing are moving toward simultaneous transparency, with lease tenure structures trending toward medium-to-long-term lock-ups.

[SMM Computing Power Flash News] RTX 4090 Full-Machine Rental Resources Peak, Potential Lessees Switch to Purchasing
SMM has learned that previously, for hundreds of RTX 4090 8-GPU server rental resources in the market, potential lessees have already shown a willingness to purchase (buy out) the servers outright rather than simply renewing the lease. This shift reflects that the supply of RTX 4090 server rentals is approaching a peak, with a growing trend downstream of switching from "leasing" to "buying." SMM believes that the monthly rental for a 4090 server has stabilized within a transparent range of 7,100–7,300 yuan, and the lessees' move to buy out may be driven by the economics of long-term ownership, accelerating the digestion of existing server positions.

[SMM Computing Power Flash] Direct Rental Quote for RTX 4090 Servers: 7,500 Yuan/Month
SMM has learned that a resource provider reported the direct rental price for its in-house 4090 machines at 7,500 yuan per unit per month, describing it as “about the same” as SMM’s price anchor. Previously, SMM learned that the monthly direct rental price for the standard 4090 version had converged to the 7,100–7,300 yuan range, and this quotation falls at the upper end of that range. SMM believes the pricing band for 4090 direct rental is highly transparent, with the resource provider’s quoted price broadly consistent with the market range.

[SMM Computing Power Flash] 5 Pro6000 Bare-Metal Units for Lease in East China, Monthly Rent: 50,000 Yuan
SMM learned that a resource provider in east China released approximately 5 Pro6000 units for lease, with a bare-metal quote of 50,000 yuan per unit per month, a one-year minimum lease term, located in a partner data center and cannot be relocated. The counterparty revealed that the channel price for Pro6000 from a large internet enterprise is 55,000 yuan per unit per month, 10% higher than its own quote. SMM believes that the bare-metal price of Pro6000 (50,000 yuan per unit per month) is close to the previous H20 complete machine leasing price, and whether the quote includes value-added services needs to be confirmed by inquiry.
