Australian copper-zinc miner 29Metals reported its financial results for the first half of 2026, ended June 30. Zinc production fell sharply to 3,200 tonnes, down approximately 89% from 29,300 tonnes in the same period last year, primarily due to the suspension of mining at the Xantho Extended orebody following seismic activity.
The company is progressing development work at Xantho Extended and expects to resume mining during the December quarter of 2026. As one of Golden Grove’s highest-grade ore sources, the orebody is expected to support a recovery in metal production toward the end of the year.
