Recently, Hyundai Motor Hydrogen Fuel Cell System Co., Ltd. (HTWO Guangzhou), in collaboration with GAC Lingchen New Energy Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., officially launched a 31 mt hydrogen fuel cell dump truck, marking the transition of their hydrogen commercial vehicle cooperation from a strategic agreement to product commercialization.

On August 20, the "New Hydrogen Power, New Journey of Dump Trucks — GAC Lingchen & HTWO Guangzhou 31 mt Hydrogen Fuel Cell Dump Truck New Product Launch and Application Promotion Conference" was successfully held. This event was co-hosted by HTWO Guangzhou together with the Huangpu District Urban Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau, GAC Lingchen, and the Guangzhou Hydrogen Energy and Integrated Smart Energy Industry Development Alliance. Representatives from units including the Guangzhou Development and Reform Commission, Huangpu District Development and Reform Bureau, Huangpu District Residual Sludge Management Office, Guangzhou Construction Waste Disposal Association, as well as partners from the industry chain and clients from the engineering transportation field, attended the conference.

It is understood that the 31 mt hydrogen fuel cell dump truck is the first jointly developed product launched after the two enterprises signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Leveraging the cooperation framework, HTWO Guangzhou exerted its technological advantages in hydrogen fuel cell system R&D, while GAC Lingchen contributed its vehicle platform design and manufacturing capabilities, achieving a key leap from strategic synergy to physical product launch, marking the official entry of both parties into the commercialization promotion phase in the hydrogen commercial vehicle field.

Residual sludge and construction waste transportation fall under heavy-duty urban operation scenarios, where traditional dump trucks have significant exhaust emission pressure. This hydrogen fuel cell dump truck achieves zero carbon emissions during operation, suitable for heavy-duty conditions such as urban residual sludge transportation and engineering material transfer. It also aligns with the direction of the Greater Bay Area's hydrogen comprehensive pilot for promoting dump trucks and urban sanitation commercial vehicles, further expanding the supply of heavy-duty hydrogen fuel cell vehicle products in the Greater Bay Area.
