【SMM Aluminum Flash News】Alunorte Ramps Alumina Output Back to Full Capacity After Gas Supply Disruption

Alunorte is ramping alumina production back to full capacity after reaching a temporary terminal access agreement with gas supplier CELBA and receiving approval to become a self-importer of gas. The refinery had temporarily reduced production following disruptions to natural gas availability. Lost alumina output is estimated at 100,000-120,000 tonnes, while reduced production and higher gas purchasing costs could result in a USD 75-100 million financial impact on the Bauxite & Alumina business in Q3 2026.

[SMM Aluminum Express News] Vietnam's Lam Dong province seeks to expand alumina production and strengthen its integrated bauxite-to-aluminium industry.
