China's copper foil imports in July 2026 were up 22.2% YoY

According to data from the General Administration of Customs, China's copper foil (HS codes: 74101100, 74102190) imports totaled 7,908.95 mt in July 2026, up 22.2% YoY and down 7.06% MoM; cumulative imports from January to July 2026 reached 53,039.26 mt, up 13.64% YoY.

LME ratio of cancelled warrants increased significantly

According to the latest LME inventory data, on August 21, total LME copper inventories were 240,250 mt; registered warrants were 118,875 mt, a decrease of 29.49% from the previous trading day; cancelled warrants were 121,375 mt, an increase of 73.45% from the previous trading day; the cancelled ratio surged by 21.19 percentage points to 50.52%.
