[SMM PV News Flash] TCL PV Technology Partners with Longhua Film: Sunlight + New Materials, Making High-End Films Inherently Green and Competitive

On August 20, TCL PV Technology and Sichuan Longhua Optoelectronic Film Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Longhua Film") formally signed a cooperation agreement for a 6MW distributed PV project. The two parties will take this signing as an opportunity to actively explore a green integrated development path of "PV + new materials", injecting strong green electricity momentum into Longhua Film's high-end functional film materials manufacturing, helping advanced manufacturing enterprises optimize their energy structure and reshape core competitiveness. Diao Ruiming, Chairman of Longhua Film, and Xiao Minqiong, General Manager of the EMC Business Department of TCL PV Technology, attended the signing ceremony.

Recently, the PV projects of the south regulating reservoir of Hongqiao Airport and the 1-3 North regulating reservoir of Pudong Airport were successively completed and put into operation. These projects are green and low-carbon demonstration projects of Shanghai Airport to promote the construction of PV wherever possible, integrating multiple innovative technologies tailored for airport scenarios, while balancing airport safety, power generation efficiency, and operational stability. It is reported that the above PV projects at the two Shanghai airports adopt the layout of PV on the regulating reservoirs in the flight area, which can greatly enhance the airport's green electricity supply capacity, forming an integrated composite utilization mode of "power generation on water surface and regulation and storage underwater". At the same time, deploying PV on the water surface can effectively reduce water surface reflection. The projects implement full enclosed enclosure of the entire reservoir. The high-density plastic-coated steel wire mesh and PV module integrated design form a physical barrier, reducing bird habitats and adding a "green barrier" to reduce bird strike risk. In this project, Hongqiao and Pudong airports adopt the model of "self-generation for self-use, and surplus electricity connected to the grid". The annual power generation is about 14 million kWh, reducing carbon by about 7,400 mt. While reducing the electricity cost of the airport, it also delivers green electricity to the urban power grid, achieving both ecological and economic benefits.

On August 20, Guodian Power Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guodian Power") issued an announcement regarding the initiation of acquisition of certain assets of its controlling shareholder. The announcement stated that Guodian Power, as the integration platform for conventional energy generation business of China Energy Investment Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "China Energy Group"), plans to initiate the acquisition of equity interests in seven energy platform companies under the controlling shareholder. The total installed controlled capacity in operation is approximately 320,000 kW, and the total installed controlled capacity under construction/planned is 13.54 million kW. Guodian Power intends to make the acquisition in cash.
