Fireweed Metals reported two Tom South step-out holes at its Macpass project in Yukon on August 10. Hole TS25-003 intersected 16 m true width grading 4.04% zinc, 0.11% lead and 1.74 g/t silver from 1,164 m downhole, about 300 m down-dip from previously reported high-grade mineralization. It also returned 3.7 m true width grading 3.61% zinc, 0.22% lead and 1.48 g/t silver from 1,267.2 m. Hole TS26-001, drilled about 45 m west of TS25-001D1, returned 30 m true width grading 6.42% zinc, 2.04% lead and 3.4 g/t silver from 957.88 m, including 20.8 m grading 8.11% zinc, 2.87% lead and 3.9 g/t silver.
Both intersections lie outside the current Macpass resource footprint. Fireweed said TS26-001 provides a vector eastward toward a potential feeder zone, and drilling is continuing beyond TS25-001D1. The 2026 program has completed 5,813 m across the district, including 3,299 m of Tom South step-outs; further results from Tom South, Tom East and Mactung are pending.
