[Magnesium Market Trading Volume Recovered Today, Price Center Edged Slightly Up] Today, producers’ sentiment to hold prices firm was strong, and magnesium prices faced difficulty in dropping further. Affected by this, some traders entered the market to purchase in the afternoon, pushing up trading volume once again. Magnesium prices showed a climbing trend, with multiple magnesium plants closing deals at 15,900 yuan/mt. Currently, some producers are temporarily not selling at 15,900 yuan/mt.

Today, mainstream quotations for GB-standard 99.9% magnesium ingot in the Fugu area were 15,950-16,050 yuan/mt, and mainstream quotations for GB-standard 99.8% magnesium ingot in the Fugu area were 15,900-16,000 yuan/mt; China FOB prices were reported at $2,240-2,340/mt.

Mainstream transaction prices today were concentrated at 15,850-15,900 yuan/mt, with market transaction sentiment recovering slightly and transaction prices showing an upward trend. Specifically, in the morning, mainstream quotations from primary magnesium smelters were at 15,850 yuan/mt, and some smelters concluded deals at 15,850 yuan/mt. Overall, smelters had a strong sentiment of holding prices firm, making it difficult for magnesium prices to fall further. Affected by this, some traders entered the market to purchase in the afternoon, again pushing up trading volumes. Magnesium prices showed an upward trend, with multiple magnesium plants concluding deals at 15,900 yuan/mt. Currently, some plants temporarily stopped selling at 15,900 yuan/mt.
