According to statistics from the China Construction Machinery Industry Association on major excavator manufacturers, in July 2026, a total of 19,521 excavators of all types were sold, up 13.9% YoY. Of these, domestic sales totaled 7,608 units (including 41 electric excavators), up 4.13% YoY; exports totaled 11,913 units (including 62 electric excavators), up 21.2% YoY. From January to July 2026, a total of 171,841 excavators were sold, up 24.8% YoY. Of these, domestic sales totaled 86,633 units (including 227 electric excavators), up 18.8% YoY; exports totaled 85,208 units (including 197 electric excavators), up 31.7% YoY.

[ US Raw Steel Production Edges Up to 1.87 Million Net Tons ]

The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) reported that US domestic raw steel production for the week ending August 1 increased slightly by 0.6% to 1.870 million net tons. The capacity utilization rate hit 81.0%, bringing the year-to-date output to 55.510 million net tons, which represents a 5.8% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
