Meteoric Resources Submits $498M DFS for Caldeira Rare Earth Mine in Brazil, Aiming 12,500 mt TREO Annually

Published: Aug 4, 2026 09:35
Meteoric Resources has submitted the definitive feasibility study (DFS) report for its Caldeira rare earth mine in Brazil, with an investment of $498 million and an annual ore processing capacity of 6 million mt. President Dr. Tunks Andrew stated that Caldeira is the "world's best rare earth project". Tunks said the DFS demonstrates why he believes Caldeira can produce 12,500 mt of total rare earth oxides (TREO) per year, including 3,862 mt of light rare earth oxides of Pr-Nd and 127 mt of heavy rare earth oxides of dysprosium and terbium.
