East China Operator Launches Zhenwu 810E Server, Monthly Rent 25,000 Yuan

SMM East China learned that a certain operator in the region recently released a batch of Zhenwu 810E eight-card server rental resources, with a monthly rent quotation of 25,000 yuan per unit, for a minimum one-year lease. Under Tensor FP16 precision, the theoretical peak computing power per node reaches 1.9 PFLOPS. Market sources pointed out that this model is positioned for high-performance inference and training scenarios, and the 25,000 yuan monthly rent has a certain competitiveness in the current AI server rental market, making it suitable for enterprise clients with high requirements for computing density.

Inner Mongolia H100 Cluster 64 Units Full Lease Entering Market, Monthly Rent 79,000 Yuan Locked for Four-Year Closed Contract

SMM learned that a certain operator's data center in Inner Mongolia recently released 64 units of H100 eight-card server rental resources, with a monthly rent quotation of 79,000 yuan per unit, for a minimum four-year lease and a closed contract, requiring one month's deposit and three months' rent in advance. Industry insiders pointed out that the operator's long-term agreement closed model locks in forward prices, providing cost certainty for tenants against the backdrop of continuously rising spot H100 prices. However, the four-year term requires high demand stability, making it suitable for long-term deployment by computing power infrastructure clients.

Beijing 9 Units Ascend 910C Atlas 800T A3 Spot Entry, Monthly Rent 63,000 Yuan

SMM learned that a data center in Beijing recently released 9 units of Ascend 910C eight-card Atlas 800T A3 spot servers, with a monthly rent quotation of 63,000 yuan, for a minimum one-year lease and one month's deposit with one month's rent, supporting both bare metal migration and cloud rental delivery modes. Market sources pointed out that 910C, as a high-end model in the Ascend series, is currently in tight supply in the market, and this batch of spot servers is a scarce supply in recent times. The 63,000 yuan monthly rent is within a reasonable range for a seller's market.

H100 Full Server Channel No Spot Available; Downstream Finalises, Upstream Sold Out

SMM learned from communication with a server full unit channel dealer on July 29 that H100 full units currently have no spot available, making it difficult to follow up on orders. The dealer stated that H100 is "too sought-after; as soon as downstream finalises, upstream sells out," confirming that there are currently no vacant slots. The party mainly deals in full unit business and rarely sells off components like CPUs separately. The absence of spot in the H100 full unit channel and immediate sell-out of orders confirm that the tight supply situation of H100 full units persists.

Operator's High-End Computing Power Project Shortfall 300 Units, Says Price Too High to Bear

SMM learned from communication with relevant personnel of an operator on July 29 that multiple projects of the operator are awaiting high-end computing power supplies, with a shortfall of about 300 units, but deems the current procurement price too high to afford. The party also mentioned that its western province can connect relevant resources, but non-local resources cannot enjoy subsidies, leading to price increases. An investor recently plans to invest in pro6000D (N card), with a unit price of just over 30,000 yuan. The investor plans to continuously deploy several 128-unit clusters within the year, with delivery possible in 1-2 months after confirming interested clients. The high-end computing power shortfall of 300 units but delayed procurement due to high prices reflects that high-end computing power prices remain at high levels, and downstream affordability continues to be under pressure.

Large Volume 910B2 Rental Demand Emerges; Single Cluster 64 Units or More Nationwide Scarce

SMM learned that during a certain domestic computing power matchmaking on July 29, a channel party proposed a large-volume rental demand starting from 64 units of 910B, 48 units of 910C, and 64 units of N cards, with a lease term of 1-3 years. An operator stated that locally only about 10 units of 910B2 remain, with a monthly rent of 12,000 yuan after subsidy; resources in western provinces can be found but without local subsidies, prices will rise, with 910B2 at a minimum of about 14,000-15,000 yuan per month, while the price for 910C is not yet determined. The operator pointed out that single clusters of 910B with more than 64 units are rare nationwide, and the limitation of inter-cluster unavailability restricts the implementation of large-volume demand, and also recommended the planned rtx pro6000d (with more than 64 units). The emergence of large-volume domestic computing power rental demand alongside the scarcity of large single-cluster inventory indicates a clear supply-demand mismatch at the cluster scale.

SMM Analysis: Today's information outlines the layered landscape of the computing power market from both supply and demand sides. On the supply side, Zhenwu 810E and Ascend 910C spot products, as well as H100 long-term closed resources, have entered the market successively, providing diverse options for inference and training scenarios. However, the absence of spot in the H100 full unit channel and immediate sell-out of orders indicate that high-end supply remains in tight balance. On the demand side, an operator's high-end computing power shortfall of 300 units was postponed due to high prices, combined with the large-volume 910B2 demand hindered by scarce single-cluster inventory, showing that high prices and cluster size constraints are simultaneously suppressing demand release. Overall, "price but no market" and "demand but no goods" coexist in the high-end computing power sector.

[SMM Computing Power Flash] An Operator’s High-End Computing Power Project Has a Shortage of 300 Units, Says Current Prices Are Unbearably High
SMM learned, based on communication with relevant personnel of a certain operator on July 29, that the operator has multiple projects awaiting high-end computing power supply, with a shortfall of around 300 units, but considers the current procurement price of 14 million yuan per unit too high and hard to bear. The operator disclosed that it previously purchased high-end computing power at around 10 million yuan per unit. The 300-unit gap in high-end computing power, yet procurement being postponed due to the high price, reflects that high-end computing power prices remain elevated and downstream affordability continues to be under pressure. The person also mentioned that its western province subsidiaries could connect to 910B2-related resources, but as non-local resources, they would not qualify for subsidies, leading to a price increase.

[SMM Computing Power Midday Review] H100: Western Region Rushes to Buy amid Continuous Price Rise, Trailing the Yangtze River Delta, with the Highest Price Approaching the 80,000 Mark
The highest monthly rental for H100 in the western region rose to 79,000 yuan (up 3.95%), with a per card-hour rate of 13.72 yuan (up 4.02%), and the price spread with the Yangtze River Delta narrowed to 2,000 yuan. This was driven by three factors: Nvidia equipment exit leaving a gap, GPU refurbishment maintaining existing supply, and the construction boom of data centers in the western region pushing up regional prices. High-end computing power is in short supply, and the price hike trend is unlikely to change in the short term.
