DRC's Copper and Zinc Production Rises in March 2026, Cumulative Output Reaches New Highs

Data released by the central bank of the DRC showed that in March 2026, the DRC's copper production was 302,188 mt, with cumulative output from January to March reaching 843,955 mt. The data showed that the country's zinc production in March was 20,991 mt, with cumulative output from January to March at 62,974 mt.

LME ratio of cancelled warrants increased significantly

According to the latest LME inventory data, on August 21, total LME copper inventories were 240,250 mt; registered warrants were 118,875 mt, a decrease of 29.49% from the previous trading day; cancelled warrants were 121,375 mt, an increase of 73.45% from the previous trading day; the cancelled ratio surged by 21.19 percentage points to 50.52%.
