[Solar: FLEXELL SPACE raises USD 20mn to scale space solar solutions]
South Korean space solar technology developer FLEXELL SPACE has raised USD 20 million in Series A funding to accelerate development and commercialization of next-generation solar solutions for space applications, targeting full-scale production in 2028. The company develops lightweight, flexible solar cells based on perovskite and CIGS technologies for satellites, high-altitude UAVs, space stations and future lunar and Mars missions. It was also recently selected to lead a five-year, USD 7.1 million government-backed project to develop tandem solar modules for space applications.
