SMM July 27 News:

Yangtze River Delta: 28 Ascend 910B2 Units Released in Batches, Monthly Rent 12,000 Yuan

SMM learned that the Yangtze River Delta region recently released 28 Ascend 910B2 8-card server leasing resources in batches. The first batch of 20 units was deployed first, followed by a second batch of 8 units to supplement the supply. The monthly rent quote is 12,000 yuan, and the current inventory cycle is only about half a month. Market sources pointed out that this quote is very competitive in the 910B2 leasing market in developed regions, and the fast inventory turnover reflects a recent recovery in demand for domestic computing power in inference and lightweight training scenarios.

H20 141G: 128 Units Deployed Outside China, Monthly Rent Including Tax 50,000 Yuan

SMM learned that a channel released H20 141G bulk computing power leasing resources on July 27, totaling 128 units, deployed in data centers outside China. The monthly rent quote including tax per unit is 50,000 yuan, with a closed one-year contract term and a payment method of one month's deposit and one month's rent. The release of 128 units in a single batch is on a relatively large scale. The channel also inquired about high-end computing power, H100, and H200, and pointed out that H200 is "rarely seen for rent" in the leasing market. This bulk shipment of H20 outside China shows that the supply channel outside China remains active. 5090: Five-Year Closed Contract, Monthly Rent 10,500 Yuan, Delivery in August in Yunnan and Sichuan

SMM learned that a channel recently released 5090 computing power leasing resources, with a monthly rent quote of 10,500 yuan, a closed five-year contract term, and a payment method of one month's deposit and one month's rent. The channel plans to deploy and deliver the resources in August, with the data center located in Yunnan or Sichuan. SMM previously understood that mainstream monthly rent quotes for the 5090 are concentrated in the 11,000-13,000 yuan range, and this time, the 10,500 yuan is slightly below the market median. This batch of resources requires a five-year long-term lease lock-in, reflecting the supplier's demand for certainty in long-term consumption. The long-term lease quote for the 5090 has dipped to just over 10,000 yuan, showing that the willingness to offer price concessions on the supply side of mid-end computing power has increased.

RTX 50-Series Capacity Squeezed by AI, 3060 Re-enters Production

SMM learned that market news shows that affected by the continuous squeezing of capacity by AI computing power demand, the supply of RTX 50-series graphics card gaming lines has tightened, and prices continue to rise. To fill the market gap, the previous generation 3060 has been re-produced to enter the market. Industry insiders reminded that the uncertainty in the delivery cycle of 5090 futures resources has increased, and buyers need to closely monitor the delivery timing to guard against default risks caused by capacity crunch.

Zhejiang: 64 Units of A100 40G Released, Monthly Rent 16,500 Yuan

SMM learned that the Zhejiang region recently released 64 units of A100 40G 8-card servers, all supporting NVLink interconnect, which can be split into two groups of 32 units for rent. The monthly rent per unit is 16,500 yuan, requiring an annual contract. The configuration includes an AMD EPYC 7742 processor and 512GB memory, with a network featuring dual 10Gbit/s Ethernet and dual 25Gbit/s storage dedicated network. Market sources said that this quote is cost-effective in the A100 40G leasing market, and the NVLink interconnect capability is suitable for distributed training scenarios, making it ideal for medium-scale model training and inference needs.

H100: Second-Hand Equipment Dealer Has No Available Resources, A800 Volume Release in October

SMM understands that a second-hand server recycling and computing power service enterprise currently has H100 operations, but all resources are used for customer network construction projects, with no spare resources available for rent. The enterprise disclosed that around October, more than 100 units of its own A800 resources will be released. Another buyer also inquired about the current available quantity of H100 for rent the same day, and the other party stated that they needed to confirm with data center operations.

SMM Analysis: Today’s multiple pieces of information reflect the supply differentiation in the computing power market from different dimensions. On the domestic computing power side, the 910B2 achieved rapid turnover in the Yangtze River Delta at a competitive price of 12,000 yuan/month, with an inventory cycle of only about half a month, showing a recovery in demand for domestic cards in inference and lightweight training scenarios. On the high-end computing power side, the H20 141G 128-unit bulk shipment outside China is quoted at 50,000 yuan/month, and the supply channel outside China remains active. On the H100 side, existing operational resources are mostly used for customer projects, with limited spare supply. The A800, as an alternative option, will be released in Q4. On the consumer-grade GPU side, the squeezing effect of AI computing power on gaming graphics card capacity continues to intensify, with rising delivery risks for 5090 futures. Meanwhile, the long-term lease quote for the 5090 has dipped to 10,500 yuan, and the willingness to offer price concessions on the supply side of mid-end computing power has strengthened. The mid-tier A100 40G, with NVLink interconnect and cost-effectiveness, has positioned itself to enter the medium-scale training market. Overall, computing power supply across all tiers is actively releasing resources, but delivery certainty, scenario adaptation, and long-term lease lock-in conditions remain core concerns for buyers.

[SMM Computing Power Midday Review] Index consolidates, with delivery premiums for liquid-cooled data centers and servers standing out
The Index Consolidated Today. Supply Side: In South China, the number of cabinets was expected to increase from 8,000 to 12,000 within seven months, supporting 20 kW liquid-cooling retrofits; operator data centers in east China were tight, and 100,000-card buildouts were required to be planned in advance. Delivery Premium: In North China, H20 141G bare metal was priced at 54,500 with free bandwidth and IP included; the 5090 eight-GPU server carried a premium quote of 16,000 with a premium range of 15–18; the three-year rental-seeking budget for 910B2 was 20,000 and required relocation to east China. Demand for domestic relocations was robust; classified private clouds and data isolation pushed up the certainty premium for deployments, and delivery capability became a standalone pricing item.

[SMM Computing Power Flash] 5090 eight-card machine quoted at 16,000 yuan, premium market price 2,000–2,500 yuan
SMM has learned that multiple RTX 5090 eight-GPU complete systems are available for rent at a monthly rate of 16,000 yuan per unit, configured with 512G of memory, eight 32G graphics cards, and dual 25G optical network cards, with server rooms in multiple locations nationwide and rapid test arrangements available. The lessor made clear that this quotation is 2,000 to 2,500 yuan higher than the current market price; compared with the mainstream quotations of 13,500 to 15,000 yuan for 5090 complete systems collected by SMM, this deal is about 15% to 18% higher. SMM believes that the seller has priced the multi-location server room layout and test response speed separately, making delivery capability an independent premium source for computing power leasing.

[SMM Computing Power News] North China H20 141G bare metal quoted at 54,500, resources to be released at month-end September
SMM has learned that H20 141G bare-metal resources in north China are being offered for external rental at a monthly rate of 54,500 yuan per unit, with the existing lease set to be released after its expiration on September 30. Bandwidth is provided by basic telecom operators, IP addresses incur no additional charge, and free shared bandwidth of 100M is included. Compared with the east China H20 96G cloud host pre-sale price of 46,000 yuan and the existing annual contract price of 39,000 yuan, this offer is more than 18% higher, but the two differ in memory specifications and should be recorded separately by specification. SMM believes that the model of partially free shared bandwidth is becoming a standard configuration, and bandwidth and IP may shift from chargeable items to basic services included in resource packages.
