Today, spot #1 copper cathode in North China was quoted at premiums ranging from 40 yuan/mt to 130 yuan/mt against the front-month contract, with an average premium of 85 yuan/mt, down 25 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. The average transaction price was 105,380 yuan/mt, up 395 yuan/mt from the previous trading day.

SMM July 27:

Today in North China, #1 copper cathode spot prices against the front-month contract averaged premiums of 40 yuan/mt to 130 yuan/mt, with an average premium of 85 yuan/mt, down 25 yuan/mt from the previous trading day; the average transaction price was 105,380 yuan/mt, up 395 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Copper prices continued to fluctuate at highs, downstream demand remained weak, and purchasing sentiment weakened noticeably; suppliers' willingness to sell improved, but end-user uptake was poor, overall market transactions were lackluster, dragging North China spot premiums further down. Today, the purchasing sentiment for copper cathode in North China was 1.42, down 0.13 from the previous trading day, and the shipment sentiment was 2.88, up 0.13 from the previous trading day ().
