  • Zhu Xingbao (Gotion): Solid electrolytes don’t inherently enable high energy density or fast charging; their value is in enabling high‑nickel anodes safely. Hybrid routes are technically more demanding than assumed.

  • SVOLT expects no cost advantage for all‑solid‑state even by 2035.

  • Gotion and SMM predict costs will drop to ~¥1/Wh (comparable to high‑nickel ternary) around 2030–2031, provided sulfide raw material costs fall sharply.

[Solid-State Battery: Qinghai 3,000 mt/year Lithium Sulfide Project Completes Filing] On August 10, 2026, the Online Approval and Supervision Platform for Investment Projects in Qinghai Province showed that Qinghai Weixiang Technology Co., Ltd.'s 3,000 mt/year lithium sulfide project completed the filing of an enterprise investment project. The project is located on the north side of Hanhai Road, Kunlun Economic Development Zone, Golmud City, Qinghai Province, with a total investment of 81.319 million yuan.
