[SMM PV Flash] Shanghai releases green electricity direct connection plan: power supply side scale to reach 500 MW by 2030
Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission released the Shanghai Green Electricity Direct Connection Orderly Development Work Plan. The plan proposes that by 2030, a full-cycle service guarantee system for green electricity direct connection will be established and improved, promoting the construction of a number of high-quality green electricity direct connection projects, with the power supply side development scale reaching 500,000 kW. By 2035, green electricity direct connection will become an important mode for new energy development, strongly supporting the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development. For grid-connected projects, the annual self-generated and self-consumed electricity from new energy sources shall account for no less than 60% of the total available power generation; it shall account for no less than 30% of the total electricity consumption, and no less than 35% before 2030.

[SMM PV Flash News] PV-grade EVA Prices Steadily Strengthen, with Film Spot Order Quotes Leading the Increase
This week, the mainstream settlement price for head PV-grade EVA resin was at 9,800 yuan/mt, and spot trade offers have already exceeded the 10,000 yuan mark. Affected by US-Iran geopolitical conflicts, upstream raw material costs continued to rise. Combined with maintenance shutdowns at some refining and chemical units in July and slight adjustments in the production schedule for PV-grade EVA, the actual available supply of EVA resin in the market was tight. Short-term supply support was relatively strong, and the upward trend in EVA resin prices is expected to continue this week. On the film side, as raw material costs moved higher, scattered order quotes from small and medium-sized manufacturers saw slight increases; however, long-term contract pricing for leading module manufacturers remained relatively stable. The new round of monthly film pricing at month-end will still need to follow EVA resin market trends and the pricing direction of leading film manufacturers in the industry.
