[Solar: Slovenia installs 87 PV plants on public buildings]

A consortium led by the Municipality of Ravne na Koroškem in Slovenia has completed 87 solar plants with a combined capacity of more than 6.3MW across public buildings, alongside a 232kWh battery storage system. The installations were built between October 2025 and May 2026 across facilities owned by 25 municipalities and public institutions, and are expected to be fully commissioned by the end of July 2026. They are projected to generate around 6.6GWh of electricity annually, enough to meet the average annual consumption of about 1,700 households.

After commissioning, the project can save over 70% of the supermarket's monthly electricity costs, with an estimated payback period of two and a half years, significantly reducing the supermarket's operating costs while safeguarding the community's "vegetable basket" and "rice bag" with stable and reliable green electricity.

On August 20, 2026, DMEGC (002056) released its half-year report for 2026. In H1 2026, the company achieved operating revenue of 12.342 billion yuan, up 3.41% year-on-year; net profit attributable to shareholders of the publicly listed firm was 948 million yuan, and net profit attributable to shareholders of the publicly listed firm after deducting non-recurring gains and losses was 811 million yuan. The main reason was that the company had not adopted hedge accounting currently, and accordingly, approximately 129 million yuan of foreign exchange hedging gains were not included in the company's recurring gains and losses.
