[SMM PV News] First Generation-Grid-Load-Storage Integrated New Energy Project in Otog Front Banner, Inner Mongolia Started Construction
According to the Ordos Municipal Energy Bureau’s official WeChat account, on August 21, construction began on the first generation-grid-load-storage integrated new energy project in Otog Front Banner—the 100,000 kW generation-grid-load-storage integrated project of Xinkuang Inner Mongolia Energy Co., Ltd.
It is reported that the project is located in Bayi Village, Shanghaimiao Town, Otog Front Banner. Phase I has a total installed capacity of 50,000 kW, including installed wind capacity of 30 MW and PV rated capacity of 20 MW. Electrochemical energy storage will be built at 15% of the total wind and solar capacity for a duration of four hours, with a storage capacity of 7.5 MW/30 MWh. The wind power portion will be equipped with four 7.5 MW wind turbines, and the PV DC-side capacity is 21.7 MWp. Supporting facilities include a step-up substation, an ESS, and an intelligent operation and maintenance center. The project is planned to achieve grid connection in June 2027.
