[SMM Lithium Battery Electrolyte Market Weekly Review: Electrolyte Prices Stayed Stable This Week (2026.7.13-7.16)] From July 13 to 16, 2026, electrolyte prices stayed stable. The future market price trend of electrolyte still requires continuous tracking of raw material price fluctuations and their transmission.

SMM, July 16 –

Electrolyte market prices remained stable this week. Specifically, the average prices of electrolytes for ternary power batteries, LFP batteries, and LMO batteries stood at 29,750 yuan/mt, 28,250 yuan/mt, and 22,150 yuan/mt, respectively. Cost side, the decline in spot lithium carbonate prices narrowed significantly this week, and with monthly orders largely signed, spot trades were limited, placing LiPF6 prices in a short-term stabilization phase. In the solvent segment, upstream petrochemical raw materials such as propylene oxide saw renewed price hikes due to geopolitical disruptions in the Middle East, though a time lag in downstream cost transmission kept prices steady in the near term. Additive side, the earlier round of concentrated VC procurement has concluded, with mainstream supply primarily fulfilling existing orders. Spot trading was subdued, and prices held steady temporarily; however, as downstream battery cell demand continued to surge, the tight supply-demand balance remained unchanged, providing VC with further upward pricing momentum going forward. Taking all raw material trends into account, electrolyte costs experienced no significant fluctuations, and market prices remained stable for the time being. Supply-demand dimension, production schedules at power battery enterprises maintained steady growth, while energy storage demand stayed robust, with energy storage battery cell output rising in tandem. Electrolyte producers generally adopted a strategy of producing based on sales, raising production loads in line with downstream battery cell demand, and industry output climbed steadily. Overall, electrolyte price movements were closely tied to upstream raw material costs, warranting continued tracking of raw material price fluctuations and the pace of downstream cost transmission.
