【SMM Aluminum Flash News】Heping Aluminum Launches 4000T High-Precision Extrusion Line

Published: Jul 13, 2026 09:37
At 8:18 AM on July 9, 2026, the 4000T high-precision industrial profile extrusion production line at Heping Aluminum's Hengshui base was successfully put into operation. At the ceremony, General Manager Guo Dalong issued the commissioning order and pressed the start button for the first industrial profile extruded from the 4000T production line. The successful commissioning of this customized, high-efficiency, energy-saving, high-precision, and intelligent extrusion production line will play a crucial role in helping Heping Aluminum fully develop its core business in industrial profiles and lightweighting for new energy vehicles. As core intelligent equipment driving the company's strategic breakthrough in the industrial profile business, this production line complements the existing 5500T, 4500T, and 3000T extrusion presses, creating a production layout that enhances the batch delivery and supply guarantee capabilities for medium and large cross-section, high-precision, and high-strength industrial aluminum profiles.

EGA Restarts Alumina Production at Al Taweelah, Aiming for Full Capacity by 2026 End
[SMM Aluminum Express News] EGA has restarted alumina production at its Al Taweelah refinery after a 3.5-month shutdown, with output expected to reach 50% of capacity within days and full technical production capability by the end of 2026. The refinery produced 2.4 million tonnes of alumina in 2025, supplying 46% of EGA's alumina requirements. The restart follows the resumption of hydrate production on 24 June and is expected to ease concerns over alumina supply, although the pace of further ramp-up will depend on bauxite supply chain optimisation. Meanwhile, the Al Taweelah smelter has restarted 89 of its 1,262 reduction cells, with full smelter recovery expected to take up to one year.
