It was learned that as of July 9, in-factory inventories of major delivery brands of primary lead stood at 19,500 mt, down by 6,400 mt WoW.
This week, lead smelters in Southwest, Central, and North China were either undergoing maintenance or implementing production cuts, resulting in a WoW decline in lead ingot supply. Recently, lead prices stopped falling and rebounded, boosting the willingness of lead smelters and traders to sell, with many selling at wider discounts. Meanwhile, downstream enterprises increased cargo pick-ups, with both spot order purchases and long-term contract pick-ups rising. Consequently, in-factory inventories of primary lead enterprises shifted from an increase to a decrease.
