[SMM Steel] Vietnam Slab Export Offers Continue to Fall

Published: Jul 10, 2026 15:53
[Vietnam] Vietnam’s slab export offer fell to 490 USD/tonne FOB, down 20 USD/tonne from two weeks earlier, amid weak Asian sales and inventory pressure. Although tighter EU finished steel quotas raised expectations for slab demand, high CBAM costs and falling European plate prices kept buyers pushing for lower levels, leaving Vietnamese slab trading subdued.
