[SMM Steel] Weak off-season demand, Thai wire rod prices still have room to decline

[Thailand] According to SMM survey, the wire rod quotation from a steel mill in east China to Thailand remained stable, but Thai buyers are largely unwilling to accept the price of 570 USD/tonne for 82B during the off-season. Meanwhile, demand in north China performed weaker, so sellers are more willing to compete at lower prices. Therefore, overall, before demand recovers, wire rod prices to Thailand are unlikely to stabilize and still have room to decline.

Market inquiry performance was moderate today, eased slightly compared to yesterday. The price spread advantage of semi-finished products weakened, and some traders also began to reduce their attention to related varieties.
