The transaction price of mainstream brand #0 zinc in the Ningbo market was around 24,430-24,610 yuan/mt. Ningbo conventional brands quoted a discount of 20 yuan/mt against the 2608 contract and a premium of 40 yuan/mt against Shanghai spot cargo, with mainstream quotes in the Ningbo area mainly against the 2608 contract. In the first session, Yongchang and Anning quoted a discount of 20 yuan/mt against the 2608 contract. In the second session, traders’ quotes were flat compared to the previous session. Recently, a typhoon is about to make landfall in Zhejiang, and some downstream players actively picked up goods to their plants, but most were previously locked-price cargoes. Traders’ quotes remained scarce in the market. Today, spot premiums edged up slightly. Raw material inventories at other plants were basically sufficient, and spot purchases today were still on a need-to basis.
