Copper Billet Industry Production Expected to Remain Under Pressure at Low Levels

Published: Jul 3, 2026 14:49
[SMM Copper Billet Flash] Currently, the traditional off-season bearish factors still dominate the market. The downstream brass sector lacks concentrated stockpiling benefits, and end-user wait-and-see sentiment is re-emerging. Combined with high raw material prices continuously constraining enterprises' production flexibility, SMM expects the operating rate of the brass billet industry to pull back 0.65 percentage points WoW to 50.15% next week. Industry production will remain under pressure at low levels, with no trend improvement in the short term.
