SMM #1 Refined Nickel Price Up by 1,050 Yuan/MT, Jinchuan Premium Rises to 2,150 Yuan/MT

On July 2, the SMM #1 refined nickel price increased by 1,050 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. In terms of spot premiums, the average Jinchuan #1 refined nickel premium was 2,150 yuan/mt, up 200 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. The range for domestic mainstream brand electrodeposited nickel was -400-400 yuan/mt.

[SMM Nickel Intermediate Products Daily Review] On July 2, nickel prices for MHP and high-grade nickel matte fell, while cobalt prices rose.

As of now, the FOB price of Indonesian MHP nickel is $15,127/mt Ni, and the FOB price of Indonesian MHP cobalt is $50,716/mt Co. MHP payables (against SMM battery-grade nickel sulphate index) are 80.5-81.5, and MHP cobalt payables (against SMM refined cobalt (Rotterdam warehouse)) is 95. The FOB price of Indonesian high-grade nickel matte is $15,254/mt Ni.
