[SMM PV] Space PV Industry Accelerates Breakthrough, A-share Publicly Listed Firms Scramble for the Trillion-Yuan New Track
BEIJING, June 30 (Xinhua Finance) -- The acceleration of low Earth orbit satellite networking is creating incremental demand for satellite power supplies. Recently, a number of A-share publicly listed firms have intensively released announcements or related cooperation news covering outward investments, strategic cooperation, and co-built laboratories, with enterprises deploying space PV across the entire chain from wafers and packaging materials to perovskite cells. Industry insiders point out that the sector is accelerating the formation of space PV industry alliances for joint R&D, with multiple technology routes simultaneously undergoing in-orbit verification. Multiple institutions estimate that the long-term market size of the track could approach the trillion-yuan level, and space PV is becoming a new growth curve for the PV industry to navigate through cycles.

5.5-Magnitude Earthquake in Yibin, Sichuan, Wafer Output Unaffected
[SMM Flash] At 0:12 on June 29, a magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Gao County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, with a focal depth of 6 kilometers. According to SMM statistics, there are six PV wafer enterprise bases in Sichuan, with a combined annual capacity of approximately 146.04 GW, of which two enterprises are located in Yibin City. According to informed sources, the impact of this earthquake on crystal pulling was almost negligible. After equipment production schedules returned to normal, the enterprises operated normally, so it did not affect the monthly wafer output. SMM statistics show that July wafer production schedule is about 52.32 GW, down 5.71% MoM. After supply-side policy expectations weakened, the trend of wafer enterprises making rational production cuts became increasingly evident.
