SMM June 26 News:
Some smelters in Anhui cut production due to critically low raw material inventories, driving the regional operating rate down by 7 percentage points; an individual smelter in Inner Mongolia halted production because of equipment failure, with its operating rate falling 5.68 percentage points, while production in Henan and Jiangsu remained basically stable. Looking ahead to next week, small smelters in Inner Mongolia are expected to resume production, and the market has no new plans for production cuts or halts. The operating rate is expected to recover slightly, but with raw material supply staying tight and downstream consumption weak, there is still a risk of the operating rate declining again.
