Brass Billet Imports from Two Core Sources Both Up MoM in May

[Latest Customs Data] In terms of import sources, South Korea remained China's largest source of brass billet imports, with imports from South Korea reaching 1,117.9 mt in May, up 13.85% MoM and 16.79% YoY, accounting for 40.41%. Japan ranked second, with May imports at 439.88 mt, up 19.05% MoM but down 0.82% YoY, accounting for 15.9%. In May, imports from the two core sources both rose MoM, as overseas producers' shipments and domestic procurement pace both recovered. The combined supply from Japan and South Korea accounted for over 50%, and the import source structure remained stable.
