China’s May Copper Enamelled Wire Exports Hit Record High; Turkey Leads Export Growth

According to data from the General Administration of Customs, in May 2026, China's copper enamelled wire exports amounted to 13,904.87 mt, up 14.84% YoY and up 1.38% MoM

According to data from the General Administration of Customs, in May 2026, China's copper enamelled wire exports amounted to 13,904.87 mt, up 14.84% YoY and up 1.38% MoM; in January-May 2026, cumulative exports of China's copper enamelled wire reached 61,415.82 mt, up 7.13% YoY. (HS code 85441100)

In May 2026, China's copper enamelled wire exports covered 132 countries and regions, with total monthly exports hitting a record high. By destination, Vietnam, Japan, and Thailand remained the top three export markets, together accounting for about 32% of the national total; specifically, exports to Vietnam were 2,028 mt, down 2.5% YoY, while exports to Japan and Thailand rose 27.7% and 19.8% YoY respectively, maintaining steady growth momentum. The Turkish market performed particularly well, with exports of 908 mt in May, surging 312.1% YoY, ranking as the fourth-largest export destination; meanwhile, exports to South Korea, the Philippines, and Mexico declined to varying degrees YoY.
