[Zinc Concentrate TCs Continued to Fall, SHFE Zinc Maintained Fluctuating Trend] The most-traded SHFE zinc 2608 contract opened at 24,800 yuan/mt. After opening, SHFE zinc maintained fluctuating trend below the daily average line, touching a high of 24,870 yuan/mt at the beginning of the session, dipping to a low of 24,725 yuan/mt during the session, and finally closing down at 24,820 yuan/mt.....

SMM June 18:

The most-traded SHFE zinc 2608 contract opened at 24,800 yuan/mt. After the opening, SHFE zinc maintained a fluctuating trend below the daily average line, touching a high of 24,870 yuan/mt in early trading, then hitting a low of 24,725 yuan/mt during the session. It finally closed down at 24,820 yuan/mt, down 70 yuan/mt, or 0.28%. Trading volume increased by 6,648 lots to 39,700 lots, and open interest increased by 2,259 lots to 90,404 lots. SHFE zinc posted a bullish candlestick, with the 10-day moving average below providing support. China’s zinc concentrate TCs extended their decline. Fundamentals witnessed continued tug-of-war between bulls and bears. During the day, SHFE zinc stayed high, and it is expected to maintain a fluctuating trend in the short term.

[Domestic Zinc Concentrate Market]This week, domestic zinc concentrate treatment charges (TCs) across multiple regions in China were gradually finalized, with July TCs continuing to decline from June levels. The primary driver behind the latest reduction was the persistently weak domestic-to-overseas price ratio, which pushed losses on imported zinc concentrate to nearly RMB 2,000/mt once again.
