US and Iran Near Agreement, Potential Signing in Geneva During G7 Summit

The US and Iran “have neared an agreement,” which is planned to be signed on the sidelines of next week’s G7 summit, and could be signed as early as this Sunday. Reports indicate that Geneva, Switzerland, is being discussed as a “potential signing venue.”This year’s G7 summit will take place from June 15 to 17 in Évian-les-Bains, France. On the afternoon of June 11 local time, US President Trump told the media at the White House that the US and Iran could sign an agreement in Europe as soon as this weekend, that he himself might not attend, but that Vice President Vance would be present.
