[Energy Storage: Energy Storage Projects Accelerate Construction In Jiuquan, Gansu Province]

Recently, the Jinta Baishuiquan 300MW/1200MWh grid-side independent energy storage station project of Gansu Jiuquan Jinchu New Energy Co., Ltd. is accelerating construction. This project is invested in and constructed by Jiuquan Jinchu New Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Beijing Hyperstrong Technology Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 900 million yuan. It is a planned integrated construction project for the first phase. The project will build a new 330kV booster station, connecting to the regional power grid through a combination of overhead lines and cables, with a total line length of 0.803 kilometers. The project plans for a total of 60 energy storage units of 5MW/20MWh each, along with complete supporting converter, substation, distribution, and secondary control equipment.

India Launches Global Tender for 10GWh Grid Storage Battery Manufacturing
India's Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) has launched a global tender to select companies for establishing 10 GWh of Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) manufacturing capacity dedicated to grid-scale stationary energy storage applications. The African Development Bank has approved up to USD 66 million for Phase I of Egypt’s 500MW Dandara Solar Project, which includes a 100MWh battery storage system. Located in Qena Governorate and developed by Norway’s Scatec, the project will supply renewable electricity to EgyptAlum under a 25-year PPA and a wheeling agreement with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company. The financing includes USD 46 million from AfDB ordinary resources and USD 20 million from the Climate Investment Funds’ Clean Technology Fund. Phase I is scheduled to begin operations in early 2028 and is expected to generate around 1,373GWh annually.
