This week, premiums in Guangdong fell by 15 yuan/mt WoW. As of this Friday, mainstream 0# zinc in Guangdong was quoted at a discount of 90 to 60 yuan/mt against the market, and the Shanghai-Guangdong price spread remained stable. During the week, zinc prices fluctuated at high levels. Downstream buyers were cautious in procurement due to high prices, end-users entered the consumption off-season, and amid high prices, enterprises mainly consumed inventory and executed long-term contracts, with low enthusiasm for sporadic purchases. Spot premiums lacked sufficient bottom support. Although recent arrivals in Guangdong were limited, the market still had a certain amount of spot circulation. Amid mediocre demand, premiums are expected to continue fluctuating at a discount next week.
