On May 23, 2026, CGN's 800MW PV desertification control project in Cele County, Hetian, Xinjiang, achieved full capacity grid connection. The project stands out as a benchmark for CGN's deep expansion into southern Xinjiang's new energy sector, pioneering the innovative integration of "PV + desertification control."

The Xinjiang DRC issued a notice to improve the generation-side capacity tariff mechanisms for coal power, pumped storage, and independent new energy storage. This move aims to build a reliable capacity compensation mechanism and guide orderly power construction, supporting high-ratio renewable energy integration and grid stability.

According to China Electric Power News, on May 18, China Southern Power Grid's user ecosystem operations company launched the "Computing-Power Coordination Service Zone" on the "CSG Online" platform, providing "one-stop" services for computing power supply-side entities such as intelligent computing centers, supercomputing centers, and data centers, as well as computing power buyers. This marks a milestone for China Southern Power Grid in implementing the national "computing-power coordination" strategy.
