[SMM Aluminum News Flash] Today, the inventory of secondary aluminum alloy ingots in China's major consumption areas decreased by 277 mt from the previous trading day to 30,900 mt, mainly driven by renewed destocking in the Foshan area.

The estimated average export price of prebaked anode in April was approximately $862.52/mt, up 2.24% YoY and up 2.48% MoM. China's cumulative prebaked anode exports in 2026 totaled 854,100 mt, up 15.95% YoY.

China's Aluminum Alloy Imports Down, Exports Hit Record High in April 2026 Amid Global Supply Disruptions

[SMM Aluminum Alloy News Flash] According to customs data, China's unwrought aluminum alloy imports in April 2026 were 73,500 mt, down 15.4% YoY and down 12.9% MoM; cumulative imports from January to April were 313,900 mt, down 14.6% YoY. Exports side, unwrought aluminum alloy exports in April reached 46,300 mt, hitting a record monthly high, up 179.7% YoY and up 68.9% MoM; cumulative exports from January to April were 111,200 mt, up 58.1% YoY.
