[SMM Hot-Rolled Coil Daily Trading] On May 13, the combined daily trading volume of hot-rolled coil from SMM's sample enterprises across four cities (Shanghai, Lecong, Tianjin, and Ningbo) totaled 14,520 mt, up 290 mt DoD (+2.0%), up 28.72% YoY (solar calendar), and down 11.19% YoY (lunar calendar).

[SMM Steel] US sets preliminary 8.45% dumping margin on Mexican rebar producer Deacero Group

[SMM Steel] The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) preliminarily determined that Mexico’s Deacero Group sold rebar in the US below fair market value during the review period from Nov. 1, 2023 to Oct. 31, 2024. USDOC assigned the group a weighted-average dumping margin of 8.45%. Reviews for Grupo Acerero, Grupo Simec, and Sidertul were canceled after customs data showed no shipments during the review period. Final results are expected within 120 days.
