India Approves Rail Line to Boost Odisha Bauxite Mines' Logistics Efficiency

Recently, the Indonesia North Kalimantan aluminum project, a key Belt and Road Initiative project undertaken by the Sixth Metallurgical Construction Company, reached an important milestone — all 122 electrolysis cells in Section 3 of the electrolysis workshop were successfully energized in a single attempt, with all operating parameters stable and up to standard, meeting design specifications. This marked the project's smooth transition from the construction phase to the load commissioning and production sprint phase.

On April 24, Berth No. 23 at the Shitobu Operation Area of Tieshan West Port District, Beihai Port Area, Beihai Port of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Port passed the autonomous region-level acceptance inspection for opening to the outside world. As Beihai's first 200,000-mt high-pile bulk cargo terminal, the berth will serve as a key gateway for the "raw material import + product export" operations of the Guangxi Investment Group Beihai Green Eco-Aluminum Project. Berth No. 23 at the Shitobu Operation Area is a major project coordinated and promoted at the level of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and also a critical piece of infrastructure for the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

On April 26, Guangdong Haomei New Material Co., Ltd. announced that, to improve its global strategic layout, the company planned to establish a subsidiary in Morocco through its Hong Kong subsidiary Haomei Aluminum Products as the investment entity and build a new aluminum extrusion production site. The total planned investment for this project would not exceed 510 million yuan, funded by the company's own and self-raised capital, primarily for land acquisition, factory construction, and working capital for operations. Upon completion, the project was expected to form an annual aluminum extrusion capacity of approximately 44,000 mt, with products covering automotive lightweighting, construction, and industrial aluminum extrusion.
