From January to February 2026, China’s copper enamelled wire exports maintained strong momentum, with products shipped to 160 countries and regions, while the YoY growth in February exports was particularly notable. By export market distribution, the leading destination pattern remained stable, with Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, and South Korea firmly ranking as the top four markets, accounting for a combined 42% of total exports; among them, Vietnam recorded positive YoY growth, while Japan, Thailand, and South Korea saw pullbacks of varying degrees. In addition, exports to Turkey were particularly strong, with January-February exports reaching 996 mt, up 645.6% YoY; the US market fell 12.3% YoY, ranking seventh among export destinations.

Overall, China’s enamelled wire export market showed strong resilience and prominent growth potential in January-February 2026. However, as the US-Iran conflict continued to intensify and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East trended higher, China’s copper enamelled wire exports to markets such as the UAE and Turkey were expected to face certain uncertainties and phased pressure in the short term.

Wuxin Copper Improves Slag Utilization, Reduces Losses and Boosts Economic Benefits
In H1, performance indicators for the industrial pilot project on comprehensive utilization of smelting slag resources at Wuxin Copper continued to improve. Through crushing, grinding, and refined flotation, the copper content in tailings slag was further reduced. This could reduce copper losses by about 170 mt over the full year, increase the copper recovery rate by 0.2 percentage points, and deliver additional annual economic benefits of more than 20 million yuan.
