This week, the operating rate for die-casting zinc alloy recorded 8.73%, down 12.87 percentage points WoW from the last week before the holiday. Inventory side, zinc prices hovered at highs after the holiday, leading to weak purchasing enthusiasm among alloy plants; coupled with few production resumptions during the week, raw material inventories edged down. Finished product side, some alloy plants concentrated on delivering unfinished orders from before the year, resulting in some destocking of finished product inventories. Order side, most terminal hardware enterprises had not yet resumed work, and overall market transactions were subdued. The operating rate for die-casting zinc alloy fell compared to pre-holiday levels, mainly due to the continued low number of enterprises that had resumed production, with most alloy plants planning to arrange production resumptions after the Lantern Festival. Therefore, the operating rate for die-casting zinc alloy is expected to fluctuate around 32% next week.
