CIMC and Boao Forum for Asia Deepen Cooperation to Explore New Pathways for International Development

On January 30, a delegation led by Gao Xiang, President of CIMC Group, visited the Secretariat of the Boao Forum for Asia to discuss cooperation. Secretary General Zhang Jun met with the delegation in Beijing and chaired a working meeting. Both sides focused on the development opportunities and challenges faced by international enterprises amid global changes, and held in-depth consultations on core topics such as deepening practical cooperation and empowering high-quality economic development in Asia and the global economy, exploring new pathways for collaboration.

Li Yinhui and Wang Xiaoyan, Vice Presidents of CIMC Group, as well as Cheng Ji, Executive Director of the Boao Forum for Asia Secretariat, and other relevant officials attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, Gao Xiang expressed gratitude for the hospitality of the Boao Forum for Asia and introduced the achievements of CIMC Group's global layout and transformation and upgrading. He stated that CIMC adheres to an internationalization strategy, with a focus on regions such as the Middle East and Southeast Asia, deepening its presence in fields including logistics equipment and clean energy, and implementing several landmark overseas projects. The purpose of this visit was to leverage the high-end platform and think tank advantages of the Forum to obtain professional advice on international development, seek opportunities for participation in Forum events and professional exchanges, and connect with high-quality global resources.

Zhang Jun extended a warm welcome to Gao Xiang and his delegation, provided a detailed introduction to the preparations and core topics of the Boao Forum for Asia 2026 Annual Conference, and specially invited CIMC to participate in important related events of the Annual Conference. Through dedicated sessions on themes such as regional cooperation and clean energy, the Forum aims to build a platform for connecting international government and enterprise resources for CIMC.

Zhang Jun pointed out that CIMC Group's global layout and practices are highly aligned with the Forum's philosophy of promoting high-quality global economic development. He suggested that CIMC could leverage relevant policy dividends to share its corporate development insights; both sides could explore deepening cooperation, with CIMC considering joining the Forum's membership system and conducting joint research on topics such as energy transition to achieve mutual empowerment.

Both sides also engaged in in-depth discussions on specific issues including global energy transition, opportunities and risk prevention in the Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern markets, and reached preliminary consensus on strengthening follow-up coordination and advancing practical cooperation. Both parties expressed that this meeting laid a solid foundation for cooperation, and in the future, they will leverage their respective advantages to deepen and solidify collaboration, injecting new momentum into high-quality global economic development.
