[SMM Copper Express] The front-month contract closed at 104,330 yuan/mt in the afternoon session today, down 3,900 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. In Hubei, secondary copper rod was offered at 102,550–102,650 yuan/mt, at a discount of 1,680–1,780 yuan/mt (average discount of 1,730 yuan/mt) against the front-month contract. Copper prices experienced wild swings, downstream consumption remained weak, and actual trading activity in the market was sluggish.
