LG Chem said on the 29th, during its fourth-quarter earnings conference call, that preparations for the start-up of its cathode materials plant in Tennessee are proceeding as planned, despite concerns over potential schedule changes stemming from a slowdown in the North American market.
The company noted that while the plant is being readied for operation without disruption, the actual start-up timing and the pace of capacity ramp-up will be adjusted flexibly in line with demand fluctuations from OEM customers.
