Published: Jan 26, 2026 08:57
According to reports from South Korean media, Samsung Electronics raised the supply price of NAND flash memory by more than 100% in Q1 of this year, a surge that far exceeded market expectations and highlighted the severe supply-demand imbalance in the current semiconductor market. According to industry insiders cited by the media, Samsung Electronics completed supply contract negotiations with major clients by the end of last year and officially implemented the new pricing system starting in January. This marks another significant price adjustment signal in the memory market, following reports of DRAM prices being raised by nearly 70%. The report also stated that Samsung Electronics has already begun a new round of negotiations with clients regarding NAND prices for Q2, and the market generally expects the upward price trend to continue into Q2.
