【CATL Releases Full-Scenario Solutions for Light Commercial Vehicles, Low-Temperature Version Adopts Industry's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery】CATL released the Tianxing II series of customized solutions for the light commercial vehicle industry across all scenarios. Among them, the Low-Temperature Edition for light commercial vehicles adopts the industry's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery. According to the company's business head, this sodium-ion battery, with a capacity of 45 kWh, is compatible with various car models such as medium and small vans and mini trucks. Even when the battery cell is completely frozen at -30°C, it can be charged immediately upon plugging in; at -40°C, the battery still retains 90% of its usable capacity. Also released at the same time were the Supercharging Edition for urban distribution scenarios, the Long-Range Edition for intercity trunk routes, and the High-Temperature Supercharging Edition for last-mile urban distribution and self-use scenarios, designed to suit different application needs.

Samsung SDI said its US prismatic lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cell production line for energy storage systems (ESS) has entered mass production quality validation and is scheduled to begin production in October 2026, with customer deliveries starting before year-end.
